Chef / Experienced Cook – $65,000 + Super | No Nights or Split Shifts!

Location: Nurcha, Birtinya
Salary: $65,000 annual base salary + superannuation
Hours: 38 hours per week | Generally 7:30 am – 3:30 pm
Roster: Five days per week, including weekends, with two consecutive days off
Start: Immediate

We pride ourselves on serving delicious, fresh food in a friendly and supportive kitchen environment. We’re looking for someone who enjoys cooking, takes pride in their work and can confidently run a kitchen section.

You don’t need to be vegan or have experience in plant-based cooking! We’re simply looking for a great cook with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.

What You’ll Be Doing
Running your own kitchen section, including the pass or grill.
Preparing and presenting fresh, high-quality café dishes.
Working alongside an experienced kitchen team.
Maintaining excellent food safety and kitchen standards.
Helping keep service running smoothly and efficiently.

What We’re Looking For
Experience as a Chef or Cook in a busy commercial kitchen.
Confidence managing a kitchen section independently.
Someone reliable, organised and comfortable working under pressure.
A positive attitude and a genuine team-player mentality.
Availability to work weekends.
Plant-based cooking experience is a bonus, but definitely not essential.

Hello! My name is Ty, and I’m the Head Chef at Nurcha.

We’re looking for a casual kitchenhand to join our team for 1–3 shifts per week.
Shifts are generally 7:30am–4:30pm. We’re open 7 days a week, and weekend availability is required. Casual rates apply, with applicable penalty rates for weekend work.

What you’ll be doing:
    •    Washing, drying, and putting away dishes
    •    Keeping the dishwashing area clean, organised, and running smoothly
    •    Making rice paper rolls
    •    Helping with light food prep

You’ll receive a meal and coffee or tea with each full shift, and you’ll be joining a friendly, hardworking team with an easy-going environment.

Please note that this is a fast-paced, physical role that involves some heavy lifting. Previous kitchenhand or dishwashing experience is helpful, but not essential.
