Opening our takeaway from Shalom Indonesian Restaurant feels like opening something much more than food…

Some of these dishes instantly take us back to childhood in Jakarta, and even remind us of our mom’s cooking 🥹🤍
It’s that kind of food that carries memories, love, and comfort in every bite.

This isn’t just a meal, it’s soul food… the kind that reminds you of the people you love and the places that shaped you.

Grateful that even in Brisbane, we can still experience this feeling 🇮🇩 thank you ❤️

A little bit of East… a little bit of West.

Our Gado Gado brings together fresh vegetables and salads you might recognise, but with a beautiful Indonesian twist. 🇮🇩

We add tofu, egg, and tempeh, then coat everything in our rich Indonesian peanut sauce. Finished with sweet soy sauce, crispy fried shallots, and of course kerupuk crackers for that perfect crunch.

Fresh, nutty, savoury, and incredibly satisfying.
