The all new Oyster Shed Beach Club is located on the waterfront of Sandstone Point Hotel. The ultimate day drinking spot, this space is a vibrant oasis with a seafood-inspired menu, fire pit, ice creamery and bar featuring a dedicated cocktail station. k 'n dine! The beach club's jetty offers direct access to Pumicestone Passage, visitors don't only arrive by car but boat too! Moore your boat or jetski to the pontoon and walk up the jetty for cold one or a bite to eat. The Oyster Shed Beach Club proudly serves 100% sustainably sourced fresh Australian seafood, 90% coming from Queensland waterways, with the majority local. Rich in fresh seafood and history. The beach club's indoor dining area is shaded by a red tin roof. Did you know that this roof is the original roof from a dinky red shed which was located on the property when it was an operational oyster farm owned by James Clark? In 1875, James Clark operated a very successful Oyster Farm out of Pumicestone Passage. During its peak in the 1900’s, James Clark owned over 30 dredging sections and employed over 25 families all working in the area, which was unheard of at the time! Pumicestone Passage was very important to the livelihood of Moreton Bay, with the jetty and oyster shed playing a big part in day to day life. Now restored, the jetty and oyster shed are back in operation and the Oyster Shed Beach Club takes on the same legendary standards in producing fresh, local seafood – just as the Oyster King intended.
