It is with profound sadness and the heaviest of hearts that we share the heartbreaking news that our beautiful, beloved sister, Amal, has passed away.

Many of you would have had the pleasure of meeting Amal through our coffee van, where her warm and beautiful smile welcomed everyone she met. Amal had a special way of making people feel seen, valued and cared for. Her kindness, warmth and genuine connection with others touched so many lives.

Amal poured so much love, passion and heart into creating and building our family business, Coffee at May’s. It was so much more than a business to her — it was a reflection of the love, family and hospitality that meant so much to us.

She will be deeply missed, and her beautiful presence will forever remain in our hearts.

As a family, we hope to continue Coffee at May’s in honour of our beautiful mum, May, and our beloved sister, Amal — carrying forward their legacy of love, generosity, warmth and hospitality.

We are incredibly grateful for all the love, kindness and support that has been shown to Amal and our family during this heartbreaking time.

Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever in our hearts. ❤️

THE BAYRUN FESTIVAL IS BACK ON SUNDAY 3RD AUGUST 2025! Coffee at Mays will be there from 6.30am - 10.30am ☕️☕️🏃🏽‍♀️🏃🏽‍♀️

Come rain or shine, Sydney’s favourite family fun run will be held on Sunday 3rd August 2025.

The BayRun brings together families, school kids and elite runners around the stunning Iron Cove Bay. There is something for everyone with the 7km loop for runners and walkers and the 2km kids run.
