whilst we grieve the tragic death of sisto. it is a good time to reflect on the impact this warm, cheeky and flamboyant man had on so many people over his 44 yrs at Pellegrini's. i have fond memories of pellegrini;s from the late 80's to the late 90's when a quick pasta at the counter, or an espresso with a cigarette was the norm for us hospo kids. sisto's love for the industry was infectious and completely genuine. to the godfather of hospitality thank you for placing melbourne on the food map of the world. you a true gentleman and you will be sadly missed by all. A massive thank you to everyone that made today so special ..loads of flowers,blocks of chocolates,lots of stories and most of all so much love from such amazing people. The 5 guys who came in for breakfast this morning (arranged by loaf Steve Koukoulas)were original customers from 13 yrs ago ... A perfect way to start the day !
Success is measured in so many ways. Today I felt very successful and proud of the wonderful community that revolves around lumberjack. ###
And 2 cupcakes left for Jemma Stav and I with our morning latte ###
