A very proud Dad post and a special request for you to take the time to cast your vote for my amazing daughter who has been nominated for a community award ❤️
Many of you would have seen my daughter Laura growing up before you as she worked in the family business. Now, Laura has started her own organisation doing wonderful work in mental health. Her organisation - 4ME4YOU, has been named a finalist for Community Organisation of the Year in the 2026 Talk2MeBro Community Awards.
And I couldn’t be prouder!
Laura started 4ME4YOU from her own experiences with mental health, but also from something I think so many young people experience: having someone you care about struggling and desperately wanting to help, but not knowing what to say or what to do. Instead of simply accepting that, she decided to do something about it.
She created 4ME4YOU to give young people practical tools to look after their own mental health, recognise when a friend might need support and, importantly, understand when and how to reach out to trusted adults and professional services.
What started as an idea has grown into a youth-led organisation delivering school programs, wellbeing education and practical resources for young people.
As her Dad, I’ve watched the work, determination and heart that Laura has put into making this happen. Awards and recognition were never the reason she started 4ME4YOU, which somehow makes seeing her recognised by her community even more special.
Now I’m going to shamelessly play the proud Dad card. ❤️
Public voting is open, and I would absolutely love your vote for 4ME4YOU for Community Organisation of the Year.

Congratulations Laura. Whatever happens from here, you have already won as this is something to be very proud of.
Love you Dad ❤️
