This is easily the very best BBQ class we’ve ever experienced - and we’ve attended many!! Givago and his wife Maria were both incredible hosts with attention paid to every detail to make for a seamless and really enjoyable afternoon. Givago is both highly skilled and educated at his craft (South American Asado) and generous with the knowledge he shared. The food we ate during the 7 small courses over the 4 hours was to die for! They showcased not just some of the best cooking of the meats but also the right accompaniments to create an amazing flavour filled experience! Cannot recommend highly enough and this is a great experience for group trips, couples or just going solo and meeting some great people during your day. You’ve got to try this. Chicken Lollipops!

* French the chicken drumstick
* Add your preferred rub - I used a Perri Perri rub from &spice which tasted amazing and had a nice kick!
* Light smoke for about 45 mins at about 150c until it reaches 65c internal
* Then dip in a warmed up sauce - I used
* Continue to smoke until internal temp of 74c to caramelise
* Rest for 10 mins and then serve
* AMAZING!!!

When we saw this order in Panama we had to try it. It’s called a Caronarita! A combination of a Margarita and of course a Corona. Before I tried it I was certain that it would be terrible!!! Surprisingly, it was pretty good and refreshing in the extreme heat and humidity here - though of course it has an untold ABV but a relaxed outcome that’s telling. A craft beer aficionado would frown at the concept. But it’s important to note that no craft beers were harmed in this experiment.

When we saw this order in Panama we had to try it. It’s called a Caronarita! A combination of a Margarita and of course a Carona. Before I tried it I was certain that it would be terrible!!! I absolutely love Hazy Pale Ale’s. Full of fruity flavours and they leave a lingering reminder in your mouth. This one from NZ is super smooth and full of flavour. With the unusual benefit for the variety of being session-able at 4.7%. No wonder it has won some great awards recently.
