A Heartfelt Thank You from Belmont Baseball Club

Belmont Baseball Club had the distinct honor of hosting the 2026 Women’s Country Championship games, and what an incredible experience it was!

With the invaluable support of NSW Country Baseball and the Newcastle Baseball Association Inc. we welcomed six amazing teams: Canberra, Central Coast, Far North Coast, Illawarra, Tamworth, and Newcastle. Each team brought their spirit and talent, making the games a true showcase of women’s baseball.

We are immensely proud of our dedicated volunteers, whose hard work and commitment brought everything together. From our grounds crew, who poured their heart and soul into preparing all three diamonds, to the canteen and BBQ volunteers who kept everyone fueled with delicious food and drinks, your efforts did not go unnoticed. A special thank you to the officials who expertly officiated the games, ensuring fair play and sportsmanship.

Our committee worked tirelessly for weeks leading up to the tournament, organising and planning every detail to create a memorable event. The teamwork and dedication displayed were remarkable.

To the teams who participated—thank you for giving your all on the field. The smiles, laughter, big hits, and magical plays were a joy to witness. The sportsmanship displayed throughout the tournament was inspiring, and we hope you created lasting memories that you will cherish.

To NSW Country Baseball & Newcastle Baseball Association unwavering support and belief in our club have been crucial to our success. We are grateful for your partnership.

Riding the pine - your support and coverage bringing a personal touch to the tournament and insight to our club and the women’s games.

And to our supporters—you showed up in droves, cheering for all players and uplifting our volunteers. Your enthusiasm and encouragement made a significant impact, and we appreciate every clap and shout.
