Sometimes, the person who looks like they’re doing just fine is the one who needs to hear, “Are you OK?” 💛
A few years ago, I made one of the biggest decisions of my life. I left my corporate job and went all-in on entrepreneurship.
From the outside, it probably looked exciting. I was building a business, chasing a dream, and showing up every day.
But behind the scenes, it was a very different story.
There were inconsistent orders, empty bank accounts, sleepless nights, and plenty of moments where I had to pretend I had everything under control.
And during that time, no one really asked me, “Are you OK?”
Maybe I would have opened up. Maybe I wouldn’t have.
But simply knowing someone cared could have made a difference.
That’s why R U OK? Day means so much to me. It’s a reminder that checking in shouldn’t be reserved for the people who look like they’re struggling.
Sometimes, it’s the strong ones.
The busy ones.
The entrepreneurs.
The people who always say, “I’m fine.”
