This project for Screen Queensland’s Brisbane workplace combines statement feature plants with integrated planter boxes to complement the office fit-out while adding colour, texture and natural greenery throughout the workspace.

A feature Fiddle Leaf Fig (Ficus lyrata) creates a strong first impression in the reception area, while custom joinery planters are filled with Philodendron Birkin, Aglaonema and complementary indoor plants. Polished white decorative stones provide a clean, contemporary finish that enhances the planting and ties into the overall workplace design and clients brand.

One of the best parts of our work is experiencing our clients’ spaces as a guest.

Most days, we’re on site designing, installing or maintaining the indoor planting. This time, we had the opportunity to simply sit back, enjoy the venue and experience it the way every guest does.

It was a great reminder that the best commercial planting doesn’t compete with great design. It works alongside it, adding warmth, defining spaces and enhancing the overall experience in ways people don’t always notice, but instinctively feel.

We’re incredibly grateful to partner with so many outstanding clients. Experiencing their spaces from the other side reminds us why we love what we do and the role thoughtfully designed indoor plants play in shaping how people experience a space.

At Tropical Plant Rentals, we provide event and short-term plant hire for seminars, conferences, exhibitions, awards nights, product launches and corporate events. From concept development and plant selection to delivery, installation and pack-down, we create memorable event environments while managing every detail for you.

For this seminar, we designed a custom stage installation using a carefully curated mix of living plants and textured foliage to frame the presentation, add depth and create a welcoming focal point without distracting from the speakers or screen content.

Behind every installation is careful planning. Our experienced team coordinates plant selection, transport, logistics, venue access, site inductions, delivery and installation, working alongside event organisers and production teams to ensure every display is delivered safely, on time and presentation-ready.

Completed for Mosman Council this multi-site installation spanned four locations, bringing together workplaces and community spaces under one cohesive planting design. From statement Fiddle Leaf Figs, elegant Kentia and Rhapis Palms to colourful tabletop arrangements and living wall planters, every installation was carefully selected to suit its environment while creating a consistent look across all four locations. Contemporary planters and natural coconut fibre completed each display, adding warmth, texture and a connection to nature.

Behind every stunning green wall is a whole lot of preparation and an incredible team of plant specialists. 🌿👷🏼‍♀️👷‍♂️

This is where the transformation begins.

Our team preparing for one of our largest commercial green wall installations at Sanitarium Health Food Company, Berkeley Vale.

Over 1,200 living plants were carefully prepared before installation, with every panel designed to create a vertical garden that would become a striking feature of the workplace. From unloading trucks and organising plants to coordinating logistics, every detail is carefully planned to ensure a safe and seamless installation long before the first panel is installed.

The finished green wall features a carefully selected mix of Peperomia, Epipremnum, Philodendron, Asplenium, Nephrolepis, Spathiphyllum and Scindapsus, creating a vibrant, textured living wall designed to flourish with ongoing professional maintenance.

Sometimes the work you don’t see is just as impressive as the finished result.
