After nearly 12 years of brewing beers, pouring beers, fixing things that weren't broken (looking at you, front door 👀), and welcoming countless people through our North Hobart brewpub, the time has come to close this chapter.
Before anyone panics...
𝗧-𝗕𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼. 𝗶𝘀 𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻!
We're simply saying goodbye to our North Hobart site and putting all our energy into our Huntingfield home, the Beer Shed.
Back in November 2014, we picked up the keys to a derelict building with a dream and probably not enough understanding of what we were getting ourselves into... We installed our brewery in February 2015, complete with an 'installer' who couldn't speak a word of English - a fact we only discovered when we picked him up from the airport!
Over the years we've welcomed locals, tourists, beer nerds, first dates, celebrations, commiserations and everything in between. We fought council over a front door for six years, survived COVID, accidentally changed the entire direction of our business by buying a canning line, given away more than 500 meat trays, and eventually outgrew our little North Hobart home.
Most importantly, we've had you! Where does one start... Firstly, thanks to our awesome families - we simply couldn't have done this without you! Then our punters - so many lifelong friendships. Genuine banter. Deep conversations. Much local gossip. Memories that will never fade.
We'd also like the chance to thank our staff. Some unforgettable characters who have created so many 'pub memories'. Thank you to the absolute best crew in the business for making the last dozen years an absolute classic.
Whether you've had a beer at North Hobart, ordered a T-Bone at a pub somewhere across Tasmania and beyond, grabbed a four-pack from your local bottle shop, or simply recommended us to a mate, you've helped build this local independently owned and operated family business. For that, we're incredibly grateful.
So now it's time to close the door on our North Hobart chapter. Not the end of T-Bone. Just the end of a place that helped make us who we are.
𝗪𝗲𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝟭𝟳𝘁𝗵 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 (𝗮𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘄!) 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗻𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗛𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗿𝘁. We'll have drink specials and some ridiculously cheap takeaway beer, mostly because we'd much rather see it in your fridge and bellies than to spend the next week packing it up :)
𝗦𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝟰𝗽𝗺, help us drink the kegs dry, share a story, raise a glass and reminisce about the good times we've shared over the years.
