Okay… this one means a lot.

Today we received this beautiful Certificate of Congratulations from Steph Cooke MP, recognising Mandy’s Cakes & Cupcakes after being nominated as an Outstanding Small Business for 2026 for going above and beyond for our customers and supporting our community.

And I’m honestly just so incredibly proud.

When we opened our doors, I wanted this little shop to be about so much more than cakes and cupcakes. I wanted it to be a place that truly felt like part of the community. a safe place where anyone can walk through our doors and know they’re welcome, somewhere we can give back, support others when we can, and hopefully make someone’s day a little brighter.

To everyone who took the time to nominate us… THANK YOU!

Knowing that people in our community thought enough of what we’re doing to put our name forward means more than I can properly put into words.

We’re still learning. We’re still growing. Some days are absolute chaos, but we’re here, we’re giving it everything we have, and I couldn’t be prouder of how far this little business has come.

Thank you Grenfell for supporting us, encouraging us, showing up for us and allowing us to do what we love.

Stay humble. Stay grateful. And always find a way to give back. ❤️

Mandy’s been working hard ALL weekend to restock… and she’s still going! 😂💪🧁

We’re so excited to welcome everyone coming to town for the Weddin Mountain Muster! 🐴⛰️ Whether you’re local or visiting Grenfell, pop in and say hello — the cabinets are filling back up and we’ve got plenty planned for the week!

🥨 Pretzel Days: Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday
(And sometimes Mandy sneaks an extra batch in on other days if time allows 😉)

🍣 Sushi Days: Wednesday & Friday

🥗 Plus a selection of salads, wraps, grab-and-go lunches, sweets, slices, macarons, gluten-free options and plenty more!

🎂 CUSTOM CAKES: We’ve had quite a few enquiries for cakes this week, but unfortunately we are completely booked out for custom orders. Thank you so much for thinking of us! ❤️

And we have some pretty exciting news…

We’re incredibly honoured that Mandy’s Cakes & Cupcakes has been nominated as part of Steph Cooke MP’s Small Business Month recognition initiative! 🥹❤️

The initiative celebrates small businesses across the Cootamundra electorate and shines a spotlight on the people and businesses contributing to their local communities. Steph will be visiting our little shop this week, and we’re genuinely so excited to welcome her!

Being recognised for something that is so focused on small business and community means an awful lot to us — because this shop has always been about so much more than just cake.

🎉 Well… what an AWESOME week! 🎉

You guys have absolutely cleaned us out! 😂❤️

We’ve sold out of so much that there’s just no possible way we can restock everything in time to open tomorrow.

So, until 5pm TODAY, all remaining sushi and wraps are 15% OFF! 🙌
Come help us clear out what’s left!

We’ll be CLOSED tomorrow, but Mandy will be spending the weekend doing what she does best — baking, prepping and restocking like crazy! 🧁🍪🥨

Then we’ll see you bright and early Tuesday morning with the display cases filled back up and ready to go!

We have a limited number of Bacon, Egg & Cheese Bagels available this morning — warm, cheesy and definitely filling! 🤤

How exciting is this! 🥰📖

We’ve got our hands on the St Joseph’s Primary School Community Cookbook, filled with recipes contributed by families from our very own local community.

So we’ve decided to have a little fun with it…

Each week, we’re going to choose a recipe from the cookbook and make it for the shop! 🧁🍰🍪

And of course, whenever we feature a recipe, we’ll give credit to the family who contributed it — because that’s what makes this so special. These aren’t just recipes; they’re family favourites being shared with our community. ❤️

Some might be old classics, some might be completely new to us, and who knows — we might even discover a new Mandy’s favourite along the way!

We absolutely love finding new ways to celebrate and support our little community, and this one feels pretty special.
