Summary:
We had an amazing first time here - everyone was so friendly and we had lovely chats with the market staff, stallholders and customers.
As always we were a bit anxious doing it for the first time, but the market organisers were so helpful and welcoming and we saw a lot of familiar faces from Torquay Farmer’s Market.
We had a great spot undercover, near the toilets with the building behind us (we like to have our backs against a wall and not have people walking behind us), we had full shade and there was barely a breeze.
The market had a relaxed vibe and it was nice and open, it was easy to see a lot of the market and we didn’t feel isolated.
We also received lots of cash, which is always great as we don’t have to pay fees on that.
There were plenty of seats, music, a small playground and a large grassed area where at one point I blew bubbles for the kids (and we had lots of other kids join in).
We had lots of interest and people complimenting our items and set up. We had lots of kids excited about our cupcakes and there were lots of families.
It was nice to do a new market and tell people about us and our business.
We actually sold out of everything for the first time, but we started with reduced stock as we had online orders come through beforehand. It was so weird sitting there with an empty cabinet!
