Article about the long, painful and expensive process we’re going through with Yarra Council for what should be a straight forward process to be able to sell pizza on a week night.
You probably already know my thoughts on this so I’ll quote local resident of 40 years Lorna

“Hendry expressed frustration at “people who move into Fitzroy without understanding Fitzroy” and “want to try and control the inner city”. Access to shops and restaurants was why she lived in Fitzroy, she said.”

A record number of locals lodged submissions in support of a Fitzroy pizza shop, after the owner’s application to trade on weeknights in Rose Street received push-back from some residents concerned about noise and privacy issues. Holly Eaglesham reports.
