Captain Jack ventured down the road to the Lowood Kindy Family Fete at Clock Park yesterday — and what a great little community day it was! 💚

There were pony rides, face painting, balloon animals, market stalls and plenty of fun happening around the park. 🎈🐴🎨

We love seeing our local communities come together and supporting the events that make Somerset such a great place to call home.

Captain Jack certainly enjoyed his adventure… although he’s still wondering why nobody offered to paint his face. 😂🌵

It’s Saturday, so Captain Jack’s taking a look back at some of the moments from another busy week at Desert Cactus Co.! 🌵💚

💐 Friday Flowers brought a little extra colour to the café.

☕ We had a lovely visit from some of the wonderful volunteers from the Fernvale Visitor Information Centre.

🌵 Captain Jack dished out another week of questionable wisdom.

And through it all — plenty of coffees, conversations and friendly faces coming through the doors. 💚

Thanks to everyone who’s stopped in and shared part of their week with us.

And the weekend’s not over yet — we’re open until 8pm tonight and back again tomorrow from 7am–2pm! ☕🌵

We had some lovely Fernvale faces around the table this week! 🌵💚

Some of the wonderful volunteers from the Fernvale Visitor Information Centre joined us for lunch — the people who help visitors discover everything our beautiful part of Somerset has to offer.

Fernvale is growing, and we love seeing our tables filled with longtime locals, visitors and new faces alike. Whether you’ve been here for generations or you’ve only just discovered our part of the world, there’s always a seat at the table. 💚

Thank you to the wonderful volunteers for joining us — and for everything you do to welcome people to our region.

We’re open until 8pm tonight, so come grab a coffee, lunch, afternoon treat or dinner and pull up a chair… or take it away! 🌵☕

Here’s one that had Captain Jack scratching his head… 🤔🌵

Sharks have been around longer than trees! 🤯

Fossil evidence shows sharks and their early ancestors were swimming in our oceans more than 400 million years ago, while the first true trees appeared around 390 million years ago.

That means sharks were cruising the oceans before forests as we know them even existed! 🦈🌊🌳

We loved having this crew roll into Desert Cactus Co. for a visit. There’s something pretty great about seeing the bikes lined up out front and a few friendly faces stopping in for a catch-up. 🌵

Whether you’re on two wheels, four wheels or just wandering in on foot — there’s always a spot for you here. 💚
