End of an era.
We move out of Market Fair today. I started selling my earrings there in August 2019, before Covid, when my older daughter was not even 2 years old.
It honestly felt like a life time ago.
I used to make earrings when she was asleep, sometimes stayed up until 2-3 o’clock in the morning.
It was a big part of me, for many years and I was very proud of it.
Growing up, I was not allowed to be creative. I walked past an art centre that hosted miniature clay classes, I asked my parents to let me join many times without success. Art and creativity were considered as useless in my family. Creating Coco and Black is kinda of healing my inner child. I had fun, lots of it!
Since 2019, I went on studying, changing job, having another child, attempting to study again, moving house. I want to change Coco and Black back to a hobby, exactly what my 7 year old self wanted.
I will still create and hope my creation can bring meaningful joy to other people. I am hoping to work on some custom made order for miniature pet sculptures, miniature wedding cakes and any other custom made items.
