🪽Life Update🪽
I’ve been a bit quiet on my page and here’s why….
Last November, my dad lost his battle with Stage Four Lymphoma just two months after diagnosis. Naturally, grief hit hard and I began to question whether I wanted to continue on creating beautiful cakes when I could be spending the extra time with my family.
Dad was my biggest supporter, he was beyond proud of the business I had built. He was also my number one employee, driving me to several wedding venues and waiting patiently for me to set them up 🥹
I’ve continued to make cakes over the past 8 months, however, I haven’t been posting and actively advertising as I still wasn’t sure if I wanted to continue on. But then I thought to myself, would Dad want me to give up just because he’s no longer here? Why not continue to make him proud?
I realised just yesterday after I had created the most beautiful wedding cake, that the spark is still there. My wonderful mum drove me to the venue with all four kids in tow, and I walked out feeling the best I’ve felt in a long time. I’m now thinking, why not continue on Dad’s work, but with mum now instead.
I’m happy to say I’ll be continuing on, I’ll continue to make Dad proud and I’ll be back posting again. However, availability will be limited as family comes first.
