Friday morning and no power. Power back on. Turn the coffee machine on.
⚡️Boom. No power again.
The machine had blown a heating element overnight.
So, an early morning phone call to Chris - the coffee machine had blown the heating element 😱
That same morning, Chris was on site with a loan machine, had it installed and running, and Riverview Café Gilgandra was ready for Friday and the weekend trade.
Their machine came back to our workshop so we can finish diagnosing and repairing it properly, ready to go back to the customer.
Cost to the customer for the loan machine? $0.
Days waiting for someone to arrive? 0.
Lost trade? Minimised.
Coffee machines break - combine heat, water, electricity, pressure and moving parts and eventually, something will go wrong.
The real question is what happens next.
There are cafés across regional NSW buying coffee from roasters in Sydney and Melbourne. When their machine goes down, they can wait days, sometimes a week, for a technician or a solution.
That means cancelled staff shifts.
Lost sales.
Product waste.
Rent that doesn’t stop.
And regular customers suddenly looking somewhere else for their morning coffee.
That’s not good enough for us.
And if you own or manage a café, it shouldn’t be good enough for you either.
