Monday: Closed
Tuesday: Bar 3pm to 9pm, Kitchen 5pm to 8pm
Wednesday to Saturday: Bar 12pm to 10pm, Kitchen 12pm to 3pm and 5pm to 8pm
Sunday: Bar and Kitchen 12pm to 3pm, closed in the evening

Fires are roaring, kitchen's cooking. See you at the pub.

A quick update for tonight…

After an incredibly busy weekend (thank you!), we’ve sold through more stock than expected, so tonight we’ll be running a reduced menu while we restock and get ready for the week ahead.

We really appreciate everyone’s patience and, most importantly, your support over the weekend. It’s been fantastic to see so many locals and visitors through the doors.

Our full menu will be back from Tuesday.

We don’t really have an equivalent to “ It’s pi***ng down” for snow?? Or do we- let me know..

* “It’s absolutely dumping.” (Probably the most common in Australian ski fields.)
* “It’s nuking!” (Borrowed from North American ski culture; means it’s snowing insanely hard.)
* “It’s coming down sideways.” (Especially when it’s windy.)
* “We’re getting hammered.”
* “It’s bucketing snow.” (A playful adaptation of “bucketing down.”)
* “It’s absolutely belting down with snow.”
* “It’s white-out conditions.” (When visibility is almost zero.)

Winter job description update ❄️🍺

People think being a publican is all pouring beers, serving hearty meals and sharing a few laughs…

Reality? ❄️ Grab the snow shovel before you grab the coffee.

Today’s first mission: clearing the deck so our delivery legends can actually reach the front door. Around here, snow removal is just another item on the morning checklist.

No complaints though—it’s all part of the charm of a Dinner Plain winter. Besides, you’ve got to earn that first hot coffee somehow! ☕️⛄️

Tomorrow night… we’re back. 🔥

From 5pm Friday, the Dinner Plain Hotel fires up again.

Over the break we’ve been busy creating an all-new Mountain Smokehouse menu—built for cold mountain nights, big appetites and good times around the table.

Expect slow-cooked favourites, smoky flavours, quality burgers and plenty of reasons to settle in by the fire.

The bar is stocked, the taps are pouring, and we’re looking forward to a great school holiday season.
