We originally started off as a team of two (Aliyah & Charlotte), who loved indulging but found it extremely challenging to find healthy food in Brisbane. We both decided to combine the food pictures from our personal accounts and create a combined 'foodie' account. Since establishing our page, we have had an overwhelming response from our followers and local businesses; which led to our decision i

n taking on a new team member. Sophie has joined on the Brisbane Food Lovers team, making us a group of food experts, oh so we would like to think.

The menu is already epic but this customisation took it to a whole other level!

The chicken run with added pastrami and chilli dust is absolute fire 🔥 it usually comes with
Chicken fillet, lettuce, tomato, cheese, griddled onion and peri mayo.

Also be sure to check out their new August special, the 'Romain Calm'. The bread is literally everything OMG.

Located within the Function Well Australia building in West End, this venue delivers traditional Turkish recipes but with a wellness approach to it.

And yes, the meat is halal ✅ supplied by Amin’s Butcher & Grill

On this visit we had
☕Turkish coffee made with ST. ALi COFFEE ROASTERS coffee. And it was outstanding.
🍳Their signature spread for 2 which was $49.90. it comes with 2 boiled eggs but we added an extra 2. Originally we thought it wouldn't be enough for both of us but they serve it with Simit bread which is delicious and the portion is HUGE. The spread also has cheese, fruit, dips and more. Perfect for those who like variety.
🧀Of course we got buratta with more Simit 🤣

This place is super super busy at the moment. So I'd recommend making a booking or going during the week.

If you haven't had cold soup after KBbq, I'd highly recommend trying it. We were lucky enough to be invited to WooDam to indulge in some of their excellent cuts of meat, ttoekbokki, friend chicken and more. Oh and they're one of the few spots in Brisbane which make fresh kimchi which I love.

🐕‍🦺 They also have a pet-friendly area which is a massive plus.

Hands down one of the best breakfast spots in Brisbane. They're not chasing trends but they've consistently delivered great food with complex levels of flavour.
I actually used to visit them when they were Vue Cafe and they were always well ahead of the curve. This visit reminded me of why I love this place so much.

Also, they were able to cater for ✅halal (the manager was muslim) and they also have many vegetarian options too.

What we had:
☕Crunchie iced latte
🍄Sauteed mushrooms ($28.50) - Sautéed onion, crispy enoki mushrooms, garlic, caramelised onion purée,truffle oil, parmesan, toasted Sprout Artisan Bakery sourdough. This was an absolute flavour bomb and I'd so recommend getting it.
🍳Truffle Scrambled Egg ($28.50) - whilst it also had mushroom it was a totally different flavour profile to the earlier dish. Would 10/10 recommend trying it.
🍞 Croissant Loaf French Toast ($28.50)- Walnuts, raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, raspberry coulis, mascarpone, lemon balm, flowers. Also vegetarian and it wasn't too sweet.

Regardless of the halal status, this spot does incredible Vietnamese food! They even have a straight ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ review on Google.

Also the vibes at the Underwood Food trucks is unmatched, especially on the weekend. Do yourself a favour and check it out.

Not paid/sponsored or gifted! This is definitely the best spot for steak at the moment. And I'm saying that even as someone who previously ate at Fatcow on Eagle St and left with food poisoning.

This visit was entirely different. The food, exceptional. The service was seamless too. I cannot wait to go back and would highly recommend you add this to your list for your next event/special occasion.
