You know those monthly newsletters and holiday markets at our cafes? That’s all Brandon. As Operations Manager focused on community outreach, he organizes our newsletters, helps coordinate holiday markets, and runs our community highlights. 🙌

Catch him behind the bar at one of our South End cafes, notjustcoffee Atherton or Night Swim Coffee Hawkins. His favorite memory? Training for the first time and being welcomed into such a great work family. 🖤

Off the clock, he’s sipping a plain cold brew, or an unsweetened matcha when he’s feeling like a switch-up. 👌

NEW washed coffee from Mexico: San Vicente Yogondoy Geisha ☕️

We taste nectarine, pear, jasmine, and oolong. 🌸

From Oaxaca, Mexico, this washed Geisha comes from the community of San Vicente Yogondoy, tucked in the Sierra Sur. Geisha traces its roots back to Ethiopia, and this lot comes from the coffee of six producers: Rigoberto, Samara, Oscar, Sanson, and Pompilio, who all live in the community.

New in the lineup: San Vicente Yogondoy #2 ☕️

We taste peach pie, brown sugar, and root beer. 🥧

From Miahuatlan, Oaxaca, Mexico, this washed Pluma comes from the community of San Vicente Yogondoy, tucked in the Sierra Sur. In Zapotec, Yogondoy means “River of Bees,” and many producers keep hives for honey right alongside their coffee trees. 🐝

Getting to the farms takes real effort. Producers live in town and walk 2 to 3 hours by foot or mule just to reach their coffee, then carry it all back the same way at harvest. It’s a tradition-rich place, still leaning on communal workshare and nearly 100% Pluma trees that have grown here for 80 years.

It’s back, y’all 🌈 The Little Gay Tonic has returned for another August, available at notjustcoffee, Night Swim Coffee & Undercurrent Coffee (an UC seasonal). $1 from every drink sold goes straight to Time Out Youth, supporting LGBTQ+ youth in Charlotte. 🫶
