I started making donuts when I was 16, out of my family’s home kitchen.
No money. No knowledge. No connections.
After school, I worked afternoons at KFC just to save enough to buy donut equipment.
At 17, I spent everything I had saved to lease a small shop.
I didn’t have a car or a licence, so I’d run to the shop at 3am to get ready to open each day.
By 18, the business had grown into a shop and a few food trucks
We sold a lot of donuts because they were delicious.
But somewhere along the way, I started to feel empty.
I’d spent years chasing money. But it didn’t fill me up.
So Now, at 22, Sunny’s Donuts Bundaberg is changing direction.
We are now just focusing on helping our community and people in need raise money through our donut fundraisers.
Because this feels right.
So if you’re a sports club, a school, a community group, or you just have a good reason to raise money in Bundaberg & Surrounds, we want to help.
One thing Ive found, fundraising can feel like a lot of work so to make it as easy as possible, we’ve made our fundraisers completely online, so we can handle the hassle of it and get it delivered to you.
I spent the first six years of this business learning how to make money.
Now I want to spend the next chapter learning how much good we can do with it.
If you’ve got a fundraiser in mind you can apply on the website in our bio
