Long time since my last post but I'm pouring coffee at this new quirky little speciality coffee and homewares shop in Brighton and I wanted to let you all know. We are currently using neighbourhood coffee Roasters for our house blend. We'll soon add a second grinder and start serving single origin coffees as well as batch brew. Our aim is to start using singles and filter roasts from various different local roasteries. Come down for a brew and a chat. 362 Beaconsfield Terrace, Brighton. Opened Wednesday to Saturday from 7am to 2pm.

I started this crazy coffee blog back in 2009 .. who knew that by 2011 I'd be working in the industry! So much has changed in the past 7 years. We've lost some great cafes and gained some even better ones and learned a whole lot about the process along the way. Earlier this year I stepped away from the coffee world to become a full time stay at home dad. While I still work the odd shift around town most of my time is spent with my beautiful little girl Brinley who of course gets dragged around to cafes with me. Since I'm spending all this time in cafes again I've decided to start blogging again. Obviously my perspective has greatly changed now that I've been working in the industry for the past 7 years. But I will stick to the rule I've always used. If I don't have anything nice to say I won't say it. So nothing but positive vibes here. Its all about the best coffee from the most passionate people. Stay tuned.

It's been a very long time since I've posted. I've been very busy. However I think this is fairly newsworthy. One of Brisbane's original specialty cafes "One Drop" in Fortitude Valley changed owners last year. All the original staff left and one drop seemed to have lost its mojo. Well, good news its under new ownership! The same cool guys who brought you coffee anthology in the Brisbane CBD have taken over and made swift changes to bring one drop back up to speed. They've installed a beautiful black eagle with a white paint job and 3 brand new grinders.. A new menu and a return of some of one drops best baristas!

So if you haven't been in a while make sure stop in .. The coffee is on point!
