That someone was me for The Plant Bunker & Lifestyle Store Grange … and I re-mortgaged my home to pay for the fit-out to create this space (and that number is far from tiny).

Small business owners risk our money, our time, our livelihoods, our weekends, our energy, our savings and our sleep! (You do wonder why we do it … mine was based on a childhood dream that needed to be seen). Yes … we do question our sanity and decisions. 😬

We put so much of ourselves into creating spaces that add something to the communities we’re a part of.

We have been busy (thank you soooo much for loving us!) but we have to be busy to make all the numbers work… I’m feeling anxious about more talk of inflation and interest rate rises again (like f**k - did I just buy all my Christmas stock and no one can afford to spend this year - gulp 😰).

Please keep loving us and sharing us with others and telling the world about us - we need to be a big little store to outrun the increasing costs of keeping the doors open 🏃 .

Oh and if you love hanging out in our space … please when you are in here and you see someone being as A?&hole and taking something from our shop that they haven’t paid for … please be an extra set of eyes for us and tell us ! … I’m a bit heart broken after this weeks shop lifter - her picture is up on our office wall and she is not welcome in our space.

Oh boy do we have some prints from so many fun artist (mostly Australian/ a couple from the UK to mix it up a bit).

And now we have a new vintage piece to better display them for you to rummage through and find your next perfect wall piece - pair it with a Home Dweller wooden hanger and you have yourself a perfect pairing.

Always something new and different to explore. Time to come for a visit ? X

Now our handmade clay biscuits and lollies come in bag charms so you can take them everywhere you go!

These are in limited amounts at the shop atm - just need more time in the day to attach the hooks to the pieces / tad busy in my life atm x

Fun fact … I don’t live near my store (haven’t for a few years) … but my sister in law who has known me since I was 16 (I’m now pushing 44 🙈) is my ‘somehow’ when it comes to so much of keeping the wheels on in store.

I create the chaos she brings the calm.

I’m behind the scenes buying all the fun stuff, somehow making the numbers work, ideas person and creative fun, marketing, socials, accounting, rostering and emails (yep sorry that’s why you don’t get a reply half the time / I can’t keep up with this end). And styling (yes it’s possible from afar). Ness is in the front of house receiving all the stock (so many boxes daily), getting it in the system- and dealing with 100000 other little jobs I pretend I don’t know anything about 🙌 oh and serving customers, making coffee, doing pays, keeping the store clean, doing admin, and juggling her own 5 kids. 🤯

Just incase you forgot we are full of plants … because I do talk a lot about mini things and cool gifts 🙈 but plants are just the best thing ever.
