Seasonal Closure Notice – Lorne Grocer
As we head into the quieter winter months, we’ll be closing Lorne Grocer at the Swing Bridge after service this Sunday 10 May, with plans to reopen on 1st November for another big summer ahead.
We want to take a moment to sincerely thank everyone for the incredible support you’ve shown us in our first season. Opening this venue has been a huge journey — from transforming what was essentially a building shell into a fully functioning venue in just 5 weeks, to being up and running in time for Christmas.
It’s certainly been a summer to remember — with the challenges of fire threats, flooding, and then fire again, alongside all the usual (and not-so-usual!) teething issues that come with launching a new business. Through it all, your support, patience, and encouragement have meant everything to us.
We’re really proud of what’s been created here, and so grateful to be part of Lorne.
We’ll still be busy over winter at Birregurra Grocer, so if you find yourself passing through, we’d love to see you there.
Thanks for being part of our first chapter — we’ll see you again from 1 November, when we look forward to welcoming you back to our little corner of the coast — down by the Swing Bridge, where the river meets the sea. It really is a pretty special spot.
