Dear valued customers, friends and supporters, I'm excited to announce my phased return to work starting Wednesday, 19th May, following a major liver hepatectomy. Although my recovery is ongoing, I'm eager to ease back into my routine, build momentum, and serve you better. This Monday and Tuesday, I'll be busy prepping for your return to fresh-baked goods and a special menu highlight - slow-cooked silverside of beef toasties. Later in June, get ready for a taste of my German roots with special dishes from my childhood, including breakfast favorites, soups, hot lunches, and decadent tortes.

Hi everyone,

Just a quick update to let you know the café will be closed from Wednesday 1st April for a while as I’m having surgery again on Thursday 2nd April, 2026.
It’s not ideal, but I need to take some time to focus on my recovery before i am fit to return to work. Thanks for all your support and for being such great regulars—it doesn’t go unnoticed.
I’ll post an update when I have a clearer idea of reopening.
