𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝟯𝟱 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘀 ☕✨

Last week, another group of Ngutu’s young people succesfully completed their three-day Barista training course. This latest cohort brings us to an incredible 35 learners now holding a recognised Barista qualification - building confidence, practical skills and real employment opportunities now and into the future.

In Ngani, we also have our Landlines and Water Stories exhibition still on show, with stunning new artworks created by Warti (years 4-6) young artists continuing to be added to the space.

We hope to see you for a delicious Barista made coffee (and don't forget the wattleseed and choc chunk biscuits🍪) very soon!

🌿 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘂 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝘅𝗵𝗶𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗨𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝘁 𝗡𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶 🎨

Term 2 is underway and Ngani is humming with exciting new additions to our walls and our menu.

Some of Ngutu's young storytellers and artists have unveiled their new exhibition titled 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀. Now on display, with more works being added as they’re completed, these original pieces are thoughtful, layered and are beautiful expressions of young artists sharing stories of water, Country and connection.

In the Ngani kitchen, our delicious Autumn menu is now available. Vibrant and full of flavour, some favourites include our roasted beetroot, sweet pumpkin, caramelised onion and crunchy seed salad, and classic Reuben sandwich layered with pastrami, house-made sauerkraut and pickles and melted cheese on rye. Yum!

We hope to see you soon for barista-made coffee, a delicious meal and a perusal of gorgeous and meaningful artwork... All while supporting Ngutu’s young people as they learn, create and share their stories. 🌿✨🎶

Our Ngani Cafe will be closed on Friday 5th December, but don’t worry, we’ll be back on-board Monday 8th from 8am – 12.30pm serving up delicious coffee and food! ☕

Ngani Café has transformed into a vibrant gallery overnight, now home to 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝗸𝗲𝗱 — an exhibition where every artwork speaks louder than the name behind it. All pieces are 𝗮𝗻𝗼𝗻𝘆𝗺𝗼𝘂𝘀, created by a diverse community of artists: Ngutu’s young people, emerging makers, and established professionals.

We invite you to drop in and explore the colours and stories lining our walls. And while you’re here, let us treat you to a delicious Barista-made coffee or lunch prepared by Ngutu’s young people — the perfect pairing for a wander through the exhibition.

🌿 Spring is brewing at Ngani Café! ☕️

Our next group of young people are proudly completing their Barista training through the HG Coffee School Barista Course Adelaide. This hands-on qualification builds on their growing hospitality skillset and gives them real-world experience that opens doors to future employment.

The spring sunshine is the perfect time to drop in for a relaxing coffee or a delicious meal.

Ngani Café isn’t just a café, it’s a community hub and social enterprise of Ngutu College. Open weekdays, Ngani serves the public and school community while giving young people real-world training, confidence and pathways to future work.

We’re looking for an Operations Coordinator to lead Ngani Café with energy, vision and heart. You’ll ensure the café runs smoothly and sustainably, while mentoring staff, volunteers and learners in a culturally safe and welcoming space.
