The quote is indeed from a speech by Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., in which he stressed the need for courageous and dedicated leadership of sound integrity, not leaders primarily motivated by money, publicity, or their own egos.
Martin Luther King Jr. is widely admired for his moral courage, his vision of racial equality, and his unwavering commitment to nonviolent resistance.
Martin Luther Kings activism was a catalyst for the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which ended legal segregation, and the Voting Rights Act of 1965, which removed barriers to Black voters. At age 35, he became the youngest person at the time to receive this honor for his nonviolent struggle against racial inequality.
On April 4, 1968, King was assassinated at the Lorraine Motel in Memphis, Tennessee, where he had traveled to support striking sanitation worker.

Patrice Lumumba was arrested by the Belgian army, with support from the US and the UK, in 1960.
Lumumba was Congo’s first prime minister, fighting for true independence and control over the nation’s resources. After his capture he was executed, his body was destroyed in acid, and the only thing that remained was his gold tooth.
